I moved "The Hotel California" over to Don's yesterday morning in anticipation of heavy snow. Didn't want her marooned in my driveway when it's time to launch. We got buried...Didn't get plowed out until this afternoon. The lake is a mess. 3 inches of ice and a ton of snow and drifts all over the place. I have no idea if I will get her out or not. Bought chains for the ATV. Glenda and I will try in two weeks. If we get stuck, I guess we'll fish in 5 feet of water or where ever we end up. Maybe the Voodoo Lounge???
Off to Wisconsin next weekend to hang out with good friends and sit in a tree, looking for a doe.

Let me know if you can't get the ice house out. If you do get stuck, I have a plan. When we come up the first weekend in January to ice fish I'll stop at taco bell. I figure if we secure the ice house to Uwe and Stone somehow I and dangle a few tacos in front of them we can get them to drag the ice house into place!
Ahhh comedy. Such a delicate art.
As Abe would say, "Burn. Sizzle. Did ya get me?"
I will admit, back in the day, I often moved Heaven and Earth to get me a taco (or 12). Remeber the burritos at the Tasty Pizza in Hilltop?
These days I still go to TB 2 to 3 times per week (Yes, truly shocking)... Only now I go sober. By myself. During the day.
Way more fun at 2:00 a.m. with 12 angry dudes who've had 90 beer each.
Oh man... they forgot the sour cream!!!!!!
Dew,
Just heard on the news that a man near Battle Lake waved down a state snow plow driver (from the middle of the road) and tried to commandeer his plow truck. This was one of the big dumptruck-type rigs with the giant plow on front.
Now Dewey... I know how much you love to ice fish. And I know how bad you want to get the Hotel California out of that snow drift to get it launched and set up, but... If ya get thrown in the jug for stealing a state of MN snow plow, you won't be fishing anyway... Or at least you won't be doing the kind of fishing you're used to...
Patience my friend. If nothing else (and I hate to admit it) John's taco would work like a charm.
'Twas not me. I am a law abiding citizen, plus I was in Wisconsin, frozen in a tree in search of a doe.
However, the snow has flattened down and the ice is 11" thick. I will launch the Hotel California ths Saturday!!!
I will report accordingly on my sucess!
Great news. Looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks. "Living it up at the Hotel California... Such a lovely place..."
Excellent...I'll be there on Dec. 25th, I expect the Hotel California to be placed directly above a school of Walleyes! I was starting to get nervous and thinking I might actually have to do something this year and help launch the house!
